My birthday

Well I am now officially 49 as of January 19, 2007. I have one year left to be young. I would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that next year is my 50th birthday and I am expecting a party! I do not care what , where or who attends but I am warning everyone now that if I do not get a 5oth, Houston there will be a problem!!! This year, my anniversary was spent at LDS Hospital and my birthday was spent at home with Scott sick. He did get me a dozen red roses and took me to eat on Sunday at REd Lobster. YES, I had a whole LOBSTER...my fav...All teh kids called and Will sang Happy Birthday!! (Waht more could a girl want!! Jason and Jess gave me a gorgeous bracelet and earrings that IZZY picked out. IZZY called me and Katie called. Isaac sent me 2GB memory card for my digital photo album.) BUT, it is time for a party and everyone is invited to my 50th...Save your pennies for those of you out of town and for those of you close by, NO EXCUSES!! It is party time.

Now for news from the family grapevine:

Scott has had a chest cold and head cold. He is better now. His kidney is doing great. My cousin Don is getting over surgery but is doing well. don has a new grandchild that is gorgeous. My mother is going to europe with Aunt Christine. It looks like the other aunts are backing out. The tour guide better haveve tennis shoes with my Mom and Aunt Christine because these two will run them into the ground and believe me will see everything there is to see...I know, I was their tour guide last Spring...Well,Amy and Cole have had their hands full. Ethan has been sick with kidney infection and a kidney stone. Brooks is doing good in law school. Laura is back to transcriptioning.Tai1ya and Cam are still honeymoonin. Taiya and Cam may be on the cover of a bride magazine. Their pictures were submittd by the wedding photographer to a bride magazine... Stay tuned and I''ll post when we know which mag... Landon is working for Proform and sales exercise equipment. He is doing great with it. AJ is finishing up nursing school. he graduates May 8 2008. GO AJ!!! Nicky is keeping AJ in line!! Karen is finishing up dental hygenist school in a few months. Isaac is starting a wakeboard club. Jason is working on a statewide project for the school system. jess is teaching too..( I don't hink I have left anyone out!) Our thoughts and prayers are with Christie and Glenn as Glenn's Dad is sick and on a ventilator.

The kids are the best...I can not believe that all seven remembered their Mom and step mom on her birthday...

Christmas 2007

Well it looks like Christmas 2007 is over. What a great time we had. We had all of Scott's kids here together over night for the firswt time in about 5 years. We held the family party the Saturday before Christmas ( by the way this is the standing day every year for the Scott and Darlene Christmas Party lest anyone forget for everyone to come see Scott and Darlene). Of course Santa showed up again this year. NOTICE IN THE PICTURES HOW THE CHAIRS SEEMED TO GET CLOSER AND CLOSER TO SANTA! Everyone got to sit on Santa's knee!! Who was here this year:

Teh funniest aprt of the day was when I went upstairs and found my bedroom had been turned into a trampoline and slide. the kids had pulled all of the bedding off the bed, piled it up, put an air mattress wheretehy could lide down or jump from bed to the mattress. They were all jumping somuch, it reminded me of the song about the "monkeys jumping on the bed". All I could do was laugh and let them have fun.

Later Papa Scott was babysitting! He watches them through his eyelids!

Most spent the night. It was quite the pajama party.

After everyone dressed in their like pajamas, we were seranaded by the Benson boy Rock n Roll Band with Scott and Cole on vocals, Jason, Landon, Cole and Brooks and Cam alternating guitar and drums... Laughed so hard almost peed my pants!

What a special Christmas with Scott feeling good! Thank god for transplants!
